Thanks to Tom at Motion Picture Gems for posting a description of the 1936 cartoon, "Mickey's Polo Team." Harpo makes his first appearance at 1:46.

A different perspective on the greatest comedy team of the twentieth century.
extremely cool!
ReplyDeleteIn which movie did the real Harpo actually ride an ostrich?
ReplyDeleteThanks and happy Christmas/Chanukah or whatever you might be celebrating.

Alan,
ReplyDeleteGood call. I had forgotten about Harpo riding an ostrich in "At the Circus."
Didn't Harpo ride an ostrich in "At The Circus". The Disney cartoon was made in 1936, while "At the Circus" was made in 1939. So, did they take ideas from each other?
ReplyDeleteIMO, Harpo did to Donald exactly what he should have done to Groucho in most movies. I'd pay a pretty penny just to see that!
