Awww! Have you seen that Person to Person show, where Groucho plays pool with a cat on the table? By the way - I don't think I've ever seen that picture of Harpo and Chico on coat-hooks before...
Yes, I have a recording of the Edward R. Morrow interview which includes a visit to Groucho's pool room. I've had that poster of the brothers hanging on the coat rack for a long time--I'm not sure of its origins. It may be hard to tell, but Groucho is hung up too.
My five year old daughter loves Harold Lloyd, Fred and Ginger, etc., so whenever I get DUCK SOUP in, via Netflix, I'm hoping she'll like the Marx Brothers, too.
I just recently saw my FIRST Marx Brothers movie...
The Marx Brothers blog is dedicated to preserving the legacy of the greatest comedy team of the twentieth century.
We will endeavor through seemingly random postings to honor Marx family values of absurdity, chaos, and irreverence.
This blog is an offshoot of the author's original blog, Lugubrious Drollery. One of the most popular posts there has been "Lydia the Tattooed Lady Revealed," which serves as the inaugural post in the current blog.

Lots of great stuff for me to learn...
Thanks for sharing it. :)
Thanks for visiting. Your daughter is lucky to learn about all those great performers.
ReplyDeleteLOL, this is some form of strange poetic justice. She is precious. ^.^ P.S.: where does that coat rack picture come from? 0.o
